The Plumbing Museum held a fundraising gala on March 9th to support a sanitation initiative in Haiti. Currently, 90% of Haiti’s children suffer from waterborne diseases and intestinal parasites due to severe lack of sanitation. Volunteers at J.C. Cannistraro modeled an open pit cover that was recently approved by the Haitian government, UNICEF, and the World Bank. All proceeds raised go towards building the prototype for installation in select communities and improving the quality of lives across Haiti. Special thanks to everyone who helped and contributed!
